Global coatings manufacturer and Strategic Partner of the CPIA The Sherwin-Williams Company has recently announced the selection of 25 commercial coatings contractors to receive member scholarships to the association.
The inaugural scholarship program was established by Sherwin-Williams to enhance its partnership with the CPIA and help raise awareness about the organization to its customers. It is the latest gesture by the company to support and expand engagement with the association, which has been ongoing since the CPIA officially launched in 2021.
“We really wanted to help strengthen our own customer relationships by providing them an opportunity to take advantage of the CPIA so they can be exposed to more information on the commercial painting industry as well as network with their peers,” said Sherwin-Williams Marketing Director – Commercial, Healthcare & Hospitality, Julie Zamski.
Located across the United States and Canada, contractor recipients will receive a one-year membership, starting in 2022 and ending in the first quarter of 2023. Throughout the year, scholars will have member-only access to various resources and peer-to-peer learning opportunities, which include educational webinars, key management training, leadership development and more.
“The ultimate goal of Sherwin Williams Partnership with the scholarship program is to help enable our company to be a better business partner with our customers and give them an opportunity to engage with others in the commercial painting industry,” continued Zamski.
“If we all make a priority to dedicate time to learn from each other and share best practices, we will all be better for our customers.”
In the coming days, Executive Director Mike Stanely will be welcoming the new contractors to the association. Be sure to check our newsletter for new member announcements!
