Kicking off Sunday, Jan. 28, at The Boca Raton resort, the 2024 Executive Member Retreat featured exceptional opportunities for peer and leadership development groups to network, explore business and industry solutions, meet casually with participating Industry Partners and enjoy luxurious activities, thanks to our generous sponsors.
The Boca Raton is an exquisite luxury resort and club in Boca Raton, Florida, with championship-level golf courses, a Forbes Five-Star spa, pools, tennis and pickleball courts, a full-service marina, over 15 restaurants and bars, and 200,000 square feet of meeting space. The property fronts both Lake Boca and the Atlantic Ocean.
Registration opened on Sunday, followed by an afternoon of golf at one of the resort’s great golf courses. The opening reception and dinner were sponsored by PPG, featuring a wonderful culinary experience, including a special presentation from the chefs at The Boca Raton.
On Monday, members attended Peer Group meetings throughout the day. This year, the CPIA offered a casual tabletop expo, where suppliers shared information about their latest products and services with members. This included:
-The Sherwin-Williams Company;
-Graco Inc.;
-PPG;
-Alta Vista Strategic Partners;
-Benjamin Moore;
-RhinoDox;
-Tex-Cote;
-Tower Sealants;
-ClearStory;
-Blue River Coatings; and
-The Wooster Brush Company.
To round out the day, guests were driven to one of SunDream’s premier chartered yachts for a sunset reception and dinner cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway, courtesy of sponsor Sherwin-Williams. Attendees enjoyed gourmet food and watched the twinkling skylines, elegant mansions and palm trees against a beautiful sunset.
Then, on Tuesday, attendees listened to guest speaker Stephen Jones, Senior Director of Industry Insights Research for Dodge Data & Analytics. In his presentation, “The Year Ahead: Economic Forecast and Key Trends for the U.S. Construction Industry,” Jones shared his research and insights to help members succeed in 2024.
Roundtable sessions in which small groups of peers covered current issues, challenges and opportunities occurred afterwards. Teams then presented their findings to all participants.
Alternate activities and golf were available that afternoon.
